In Search of TigerAs the only publishers to have won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award twice we are delighted to be on the long shortlist with two books for the 2003 award.

ays Like TheseIN SEARCH OF TIGER by Tom Callahan was published in the Spring and has had some wonderful reviews including GOLF DIGEST who said it 'deserves a place amongst the finest book ever written on golf or sport.'

DAYS LIKE THESE by Jamie Reid was published last week and extracts ran in THE RACING POST.

For All Those Left BehindAnother book which has done well on the prize front is FOR ALL THOSE LEFT BEHIND by John Andrews. A fishing memoir which was shortlisted for the National Sporting Club Awards and the Angling Writers Association Awards.

No BaloneyNO BALONEY by Lennox Lewis's former manager, Frank Maloney, was extracted in THE SUN and has received press coverage in most national papers including the Daily Mail who referred to it as 'one of the most honest boxing books of our time.' Frank has also appeared on numerous TV and radio shows promoting the book, including a one hour interview with Simon Mayo on BBC Radio 5 and a prime time slot on BBC TV with Frank Skinner.

The Greatest FootballerIt is interesting that our on-line Top Ten features classic sports books alongside newly published titles. MAVERICKS and THE GREATEST FOOTBALLER YOU NEVER SAW were published over 7 years ago but continue to sell well both through book shops and on our web site. Others, like the two golf titles, A Season in DornochA SEASON IN DORNOCH and IN SEARCH OF TIGER, were lead Spring 2004 titles. We shall have to see how the bestseller list is affected by our Autumn list but I have no doubt that DAYS LIKE THESE and NO BALONEY will be well up there!
