New Acquisition:

Condor BluesMainstream is delighted to have acquired world rights to CONDOR BLUES by Mark Nicol. Described as 'Bravo Two Zero meets Trainspotting', it is the true story of young soldiers recruited from some of the UK's toughest cities, whose mission was to train 900 members of the Iraqi Civil Defence Corps - a corrupt rabble of insurgents who have been known to turn guns on their instructors. These sex-crazed, hyped-up boy soldiers were shot at, shot each other, overdosed on Viagra, paraded naked, stole weapons and at one point set fire to their camp. It is a visceral, uncensored account of soldiering in the world's most hostile territory - essential reading for anyone who wants the real story behind the propaganda on Iraq. Mainstream will publish in March 2007.

Saturday Night ForeverThe promotion of SATURDAY NIGHT FOREVER, THE STORY OF DISCO, first published in 1999 really is going on forever.
