The HOMELAND sale
to Routledge in New York has been confirmed. They have bought US and
Canadian rights.
In
the last week we have also had two Italian offers, one for HOMELAND and
the other for MASTERMINDS OF TERROR. A deal for Japanese
rights for MASTERMINDS also looks imminent.
Following David Beckham's signing with Real Madrid and PR tour of Japan,
Beckham books are getting a lot of interest. WHITE STORM,
100 Years of Real Madrid, by Phil Ball will be updated to include the
Beckham move there and ENGLAND'S EASTENDERS, From Bobby
Moore to David Beckham, by Richard Lewis has an exclusive interview and
includes Beckham's first ever press interview when he was 15.
TEN
GOLDEN RULES is proving popular in Eastern Europe. Following
a deal with Hungary last month we have now sold it to Latvia.
FOR
ALL THOSE LEFT BEHIND which was longlisted for the William
Hill sports book of the year 2002 and shortlisted for the Ladbrokes/National
Sporting Association best new writer of the year 2003 has now been
shortlisted for the Angling Writers Association book of the year 2003
which will be awarded in October.
Les
McKeown, former front man of the Bay City Rollers, is doing his first
Scottish interview and cover story for Spectrum - Scotland on Sunday.
Alan McGee will be hosting a launch for his autobiography SHANG
A LANG at the Notting Hill Arts Club in October.

Product magazine
has been relaunched celebrating arts, literature and music. It includes
an investigation into the enduring appeal of the Bay City Rollers with
details that SHANG A LANG is imminent.
FRAMED has
had a wonderful review from a US arts magazine:
'one of the most revealing and useful books about the art world that
has been published since Robert Lacey's classic Sotheby's: Bidding for

in the Saturday Telegraph Magazine shortly in their Flashback feature.
There will be a review of TED AND SYLVIA in the Mail on Sunday next weekend.

Guardian, Telegraph, Daily Mail are interested in taking extracts from THE
BARNSLEY WHALE by Steve Deput.
Colm
Keane, author of GAELIC FOOTBALL'S TOP 20, is confirmed
for the Marian Finucan Show - RTE 1 for the first week in September,
and the radio series on RTE1- called Gaelic Football's Top 20, will coincide
with publication.
And Finally...
Our best wishes to Marketing and Rights Assistant Lianne Harvey who
was rushed to hospital on Sunday night. She is now on the mend and we
hope that she will be back in the office soon.
