News 23 May 2003

We have just sold ANZ rights for IN HITLER'S BUNKER to Random House in Australia. A US deal is imminent.

The Book Expo rights list is now finalised. It includes numerous books which weren't available at the time of the London Book Fair including NO BALONEY by Frank Maloney. In his biography Maloney lifts the lid on the world of big-time boxing and its household names. Once dubbed the 'Mental Midget' and 'Pugilistic Pigmy' by Don King, he has gone on to have the last laugh over the American promoter and all those who thought he would fail. The Cockney-born son of Irish parents, Frank Maloney once harboured thoughts of becoming a priest, but instead went on to manage Lennox Lewis for 12 years and help him become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Maloney gives a remarkable account of his time with Lewis, revealing stories and offering opinions that can only come from a true insider. He also gives an insight into the way money, sex, drugs, politics, bribery and corruption have played their part in boxing.

Ted and SylviaThe Guardian reviewed TED AND SYLVIA by Emma Tennant on Saturday 24th May.
