BAGHDAD'S
SPY has been sold to Hardie Grant in Australia. They will publish almost
immediately. Hardie Grant are the same publishers who bought WAR OF THE
WINDSORS which was published at the end of last year. BAGHDAD SPY was
one of the most popular books at the London Book Fair and further rights
deals are imminent.
The UK edition of the book is already reprinting.
This week the author has been on BBC Radio 4 Midweek and BBC Radio
5 asked her to remain on
the programme after her interview to contribute to their war coverage.
London Weekend Television have requested an interview and on Thursday
she was in Broadcasting House all day linking up to 19 different BBC
radio stations nationwide! Corinne goes worldwide in mid-April when
she's recording an interview for World Service's Everywoman show.
Almost
every Australian publisher has requested HITLER'S BASTARD by Eric Pleasants.
The book will be auctioned in mid April.

In
the wake of the London Book Fair, interest in US and Canadian rights
for FRAMED has heated up again. We have already had
two firm offers and expect to have done a deal by next week.
Publishers
Lunch picked up on the sale of MASTERMINDS to Arcade in the US which
has resulted in a request from Dateline on NBC. We have also received
numerous requests from TV companies in the other territories where rights
have been sold.
And Finally...
Aware of the high security at the London Book Fair this year Fiona Brownlee
applied for an official pass for her baby. She wore it with pride but
soon discovered that chewing the pass was much more fun than the book
fair itself!
