FRIENDLY FIRE
As world leaders debate whether or not to go to war FRIENDLY
FIRE is particularly pertinent. It demonstrates the extent
to which the Allied war effort in the 2nd World War was driven by vested
interests that were primarily concerned with the balance of power in
the post-war world rather than with the defeat of Germany and Japan.
The authors argue that as a result of the hidden agenda behind the
Second World War, Britain and the other European nations went into
decline. Britain lost its position as an economic superpower, only
surviving as a major world power through the patronage of the Americans.
It is written by the authors behind WAR OF THE WINDSORS (Mainstream
2002) and DOUBLE STANDARDS (Time Warner) and is scheduled for publication
in Autumn 2003.
