NEW SIGNINGS

MANX MURDERS (184018 6925) by Keith Wilkinson is to be published in April 2003. It is a gripping and mysterious collection of murder cases committed on the Isle of Man over the last 150 years, from the brutal murder of a spinster one dark night on a lonely track near Ramsey to an equally savage attack on a widow in her garden in the busy centre of Douglas. This is the first book to have been written on the subject and features a number of unsolved and previously unpublished cases. It will retail at £9.99.

UNTOUCHABLES (184018 6291) by Laurie Flynn and Michael Gillard is to be published in the autumn of 2003. It is the investigation that the Metropolitan Police have tried to derail for the last four years. It tells the shaming truth about the state of the Met over the past 20 years and explains why a growing body of opinion now believes the Met must break decisively with its troubled past - one where scandals are routinely covered up and large quantities of public funds are wasted. It contains controversial evidence on corruption involving a number of high profile cases including that of the murder of Stephen Lawrence. It will be priced at £15.99 under true crime. sharon.atherton@mainstreampublishing.com is dealing with serial and extracts for this title.
