For charity...
On
the 7th of December Tom Palmer, author of IF YOU'RE PROUD TO
BE A LEEDS FAN (184018 5740) is to give a continuous public
reading of his entire book to raise money for the charity Book Aid International.
This will take place at Waterstone's Booksellers 94-97 Albion Street,
Leeds from 9am to 7pm. This is not the first time Tom has raised money
for charity. In 1998 he raised £7000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief
by walking across the Sahara Desert in memory of his parents. We wish
him lots of luck with his new charity work.
Film and book tie in...
The
book tie in for UIP's film, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, starring
Leonardo de Caprio is to be published to coincide with the film being
released on the 31st of January. Quad-sized posters and mini A3 posters
will be available for POS for bookshops. Contact sharon.atherton@mainstreampublishing.com for
more details.
And Finally...
WAR
OF THE WINDSORS is being helped along by the controversy surrounding
the trial of Paul Burrell, Diana's butler. The collapse of the trial
and subsequent questions relating to the Queen's intervention show
that the royals are still secretive. The book gives examples spanning
over a century to show how unconstitutional the monarchy have been. |
