New Titles Just Signed

LES McKEOWN'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY, the title of which is still to be decided, is being published in Spring 2003. With a foreword by Irvine Welsh this is the no holds barred account of the rise, and fall, of the Bay City Rollers. The world's first ever boy band consistently reached number one all over Europe and in North America, selling an estimated one hundred and twenty million records. In Japan the band were bigger than the Beatles. It offers more than other books in this genre by providing a fascinating insight into the less savoury aspects of the music industry. Foreign rights are available, contact lianne.harvey@mainstreampublishing.com or for serial or extract rights contact sharon.atherton@mainstreampublishing.com.

THE SPY'S DAUGHTER by Corrine Souza is also published in Spring 2003. This is the story of Britain's Secret Intelligence Services (SIS) as told from the unique perspective of a senior SIS spy's daughter. The author breaks the last taboo of British espionage, namely, the impact Crown Service can have on a spy's family. She takes the reader from the murder of the 'Boy King' of Iraq (1958) through to an SIS fiasco prior to the Gulf War, concluding with SIS attempts to silence her (1994-2001).
