Launch at The Edinburgh Book Festival

Anatomy of the New ScotlandANATOMY OF THE NEW SCOTLAND (184018 6305) is being launched on August the 25th at the Edinburgh Book Festival. It coincides with the publication of Power 150 in the Sunday Herald - a list of Scotland's most powerful. The book is sponsored by BT Scotland.

The book offers a comprehensive analysis of contemporary Scotland, highlighting who holds power, influence and status. It presents an accessible but definitive analysis of Scotland at this crucial point in its history. It is £20.00 in hardback.

Publicity

The Soho DonMichael Connor, author of SOHO DON (184018 5996), published in September, has done an interview for a new magazine called Splash. It is a new glossy launched in October aimed at 'people over 45 who don't consider themselves old.'

SOHO DON is the explosive biography of a shy, well-spoken South London boy from a respectable family who became a shadowy but powerful figure in the Soho underworld. It illustrates the extent of Howard's influence in the Soho of the 1950s and '60s before detailing his subsequent slide from power and, finally, his pathetic death in 1984. The book is published in hardback at £15.99.

If You're Proud to be a Leeds FanLeeds FanTom Palmer, author of IF YOU'RE PROUD TO BE A LEEDS FAN (184018 5740) is touring Yorkshire from October to November. IF YOU'RE PROUD TO BE A LEEDS FAN is published in September at £9.99 in paperback. Leeds United FC have one of the worst reputations in the UK. They have been associated with shameful thuggery. As a staunch supporter of the team Tom Palmer tries to work out just why he remains true to Leeds.
