HOMELAND -
The success of the far right in the French elections this week makes
HOMELAND frighteningly topical. The second round of the presidential
elections takes place on May 5th when the French National Front leader
Jean-Marie Le Pen faces Jacques Chirac. The long awaited HOMELAND manuscript
is due on May 14th. World rights are available apart from the States
where it has been sold to North Eastern University Press.
FOR ALL THOSE LEFT BEHIND - Pre publication quotes are pouring
in for this memoir which will be published in Autumn 2002. Sadly we only
have UK and Commonwealth Rights.
"Fishing is the new rock n'roll and former record industry
executive John Andrews has to be the best placed person to chart
its ever increasing appeal. But in this exquisite, highly personal
memoir Andrews goes way beyond the mysterious world of angling to
look at how through fishing he came to terms with the death of his
father and eventually found a kind of peace away from the riverbank." HENRY
SUTTON
"Angling has its deeply spiritual, almost religious moments. These
are hard to define and even harder to capture in words. In
the quest for his own personal grail, and for the spirit of his father,
John Andrews prose is honest and true." ROGER WYNDHAM
BARNES
"Here's proof that anglers are not all pipes and lassitude. In
Andrews we have a fierce honesty, ready to stalk the truth like a
pike, gifted with the instinct to create a beautiful philosophy of
what lies under the surface, from the haunted ponds of his childhood
to the gun-running Cuban seas of his fictional heros." DEXTER
PETLEY
