NEWS FROM MAINSTREAM:

A leading national Sunday newspaper has just paid a substantial five figure sum for serial rights to TERROR ON THE PITCH by Adam Robinson. Serialisation will run over a three week period running up to publication in March and will be supported by a TV advertising campaign.

Robinsons last book, BIN LADEN, was sold to Arcade in the USA and we have already had substantial US interest in the new one.

A full page colour ad for TERROR ON THE PITCH detailing the serial deal will appear in The Bookseller on Friday 22nd February.

Lord Snowdon who suffered from polio as a child has provided a pre pub quote for one of our lead Spring titles ON THE EDGE OF A LIFETIME:

ALEISTER CROWLEY by Roger Hutchinson should get another boost this week when Channel 4 screen their documentary as part of their MASTERS OF DARKNESS series.

COMPETITIONS

This week we have had the highest number of entries ever for our 'win a box of books' competition on the web site. There are obviously a lot of computer literate racing fans out there! One family entered seven times so although they have not won the library of books we are sending them a consolation prize for sheer tenacity. Two new racing books published by Mainstream this season include KINGS FOR A DAY, Aintree's Bravest Sons by Reg Green and THE CHAMPION HURDLE, From Blaris to Istabraq by Michael Tanner to tie in with the Grand National and the Cheltenham Gold Cup respectively.
