NEWS FROM MAINSTREAM:

Terror on the PitchA leading national Sunday newspaper has just paid a substantial five figure sum for serial rights to TERROR ON THE PITCH by Adam Robinson. Serialisation will run over a three week period running up to publication in March and will be supported by a TV advertising campaign.

Robinsons last book, BIN LADEN, was sold to Arcade in the USA and we have already had substantial US interest in the new one.

A full page colour ad for TERROR ON THE PITCH detailing the serial deal will appear in The Bookseller on Friday 22nd February.

On the Edge of a LifetimeLord Snowdon who suffered from polio as a child has provided a pre pub quote for one of our lead Spring titles ON THE EDGE OF A LIFETIME:

Kings For a DayCOMPETITIONS

This week we have had the highest number of entries ever for our 'win a box of books' competition on the web site. There are obviously a lot of computer literate racing fans out there! One family entered seven times so although they have not won the library of books we are sending them a consolation prize for sheer tenacity. The Champion HurdleTwo new racing books published by Mainstream this season include KINGS FOR A DAY, Aintree's Bravest Sons by Reg Green and THE CHAMPION HURDLE, From Blaris to Istabraq by Michael Tanner to tie in with the Grand National and the Cheltenham Gold Cup respectively.

And Finally...

Congratulations to our Publisher Bill Campbell and Publicity Manager Sharon Atherton who celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Valentines Day in Amsterdam.
