Glowing reviews are pouring in for WOUNDED PRIDE: THE OFFICIAL LIONS TOUR BOOK by Mick Cleary which was the only Lions book to be released immediately after the Lions Tour of Australia.

Interest in the others rugby books is also hotting up. Serial Rights have already been sold for three of our leading sports titles:

Two leading tabloids are currently battling it out to purchase serial rights for DATE WITH DEATH.

Magazines have shown particular interest in two of our autumn titles. GOOD GIRLS DO SWALLOW will be the subject of a major feature in ZEST with review coverage in most of the women's magazines. There will also be an interview in THE SUN.

GENERAL LIST - EXTRACTS AND FEATURES (Cont.)

Tarmac WarriorFHM are devoting a five page spread to TARMAC WARRIOR in their November issue, which is out at the end of September and will coincide with Billy Cribb's TV and radio appearances. Many of the men's mags have also confirmed review coverage of the book.

 

AUTHOR TOURS AND BOOKSHOP EVENTS

Most of our author's are UK based this season, which means that slotting in to the hectic TV and radio schedules will be slightly easier. However one author who will be coming over in a blaze of publicity is Rachel Oakes Ash, the flamboyant author of GOOD GIRLS DO SWALLOW who is due to be in the UK from 9th - 18th October.

Allan Starkie, former aide to the Duchess of York, will be signing copies of his book A DATE WITH DEATH at Waterstones, Oxford Street on 14th September 12 - 1pm.

TV TIE INS

DREAM SOLUTION by Bernard O'Mahoney will be the subject of a Channel 5 TV documentary on 24th September.

TV rights for SHUTTERBABE by Deborah Kogan, which was published by Mainstream in Spring 2001, have been sold to the producer of Sex and the City.

Autumn catalogues have just come in and marketing campaigns for our Christmas titles are beginning to take shape. Having had succesful co-operative deals with Absolut Vodka and Becks last season we are looking to Nestlé and Plymouth Gin to support publication of some of our lead titles this Autumn.
